We are currently seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join a major commercial construction project based in London on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile development with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, supporting the delivery phase and ensuring quality and compliance across site operations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the client’s representative on site
  • Monitoring construction activities and ensuring works are delivered in line with design specifications
  • Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Reviewing technical documentation and resolving site queries
  • Carrying out inspections, reporting progress, and maintaining quality standards
  • Supporting health & safety compliance across the project

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Resident Engineer on large commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and site coordination
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills
  • Relevant engineering qualification preferred

  • Rate: £50–£55 per hour
