Job Description
Contract for a Building Manager to start 24th March in South Kensington – potential for a permanent position for the right candidate. \\n\\nWorking for a well-established and highly reputable company in South Kensington. We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Building Manager within the real estate industry.
As the Building Manager you will be supporting the FM team in the running of a high-end grade II listed commercial building and will manage the delivery of hard and soft services within the property.\\n\\nThis is a great opportunity to work on a well-established estate with great tenants and clients. \\n\\nResponsibilities \\n\\nResponsible for the delivery of soft/hard services as well as the care, maintenance, and upkeep of a grade II listed building.\\nResponsible for all service contracts and their day-to-day management, including annual reviews of all services and contracts to ensure we are getting the best value and quality.\\nResponsible for all internal systems including HVAC, CCTV, Access Control and BMS.\\nTo ensure full compliance is carried out regularly and recorded \\nTo ensure implementation and framework of building policies concerning health and safety legislation and manage all aspects of health and safety for the building, including regular testing and record keeping to ensure the safety of the buildings tenants and visitors.\\nReport into the Head of Building and Facilities in line with company procedures and requirements.\\nTo operate within departmental budgets through effective cost controls and well managed schedules. To be responsible for management of financial processes with invoices, purchase orders, fixed and variable costs.\\nTo help ensure services charges are budgeted, managed accordingly and deliver projects and maintenance within the buildings service charge in a timely and professional manner.\\nCarry out monthly façade and building inspections.\\nWorking with the Head of Building and Facilities to take on large internal projects\\nMaintain good communication and working relationships across the business with both external and internal contacts.
Skills & Knowledge\\n\\nIOSH or NEBOSH qualified preferred\\nMinimum of 3+ years' experience in a facilities role.\\nExperience of managing Health and Safety, Compliance and Fire Safety in a similar size building or venue – and an understanding of Martyns Law\\nExceptionally well organized, detail-oriented, punctual and systems-oriented, hands on and proactive\\nAble to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure and exciting environment\\nExcellent communication skills\\nFinancially oriented with the ability to manage and enforce budgets
