The Role
We're on the hunt for a Senior Geologist to join our clients growing team. In this role, you'll provide expert geological and geotechnical leadership, helping to manage ground risks, optimise construction solutions, and support the successful delivery of major projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead geological investigations, field assessments, and ground condition evaluations.
- Interpret geological and geotechnical data to support engineering and construction decision-making.
- Provide technical oversight during remediation, earthworks, foundation construction, tunnelling, and blasting activities.
- Deliver and review geotechnical analyses, including bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, and ground improvement assessments.
- Develop Materials Management Plans and oversee waste classification activities.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate ground and land quality risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support business development activities through technical input and bid support.
- Manage project budgets, programmes, and resources for allocated work scopes.
- Ensure technical excellence and compliance with current industry standards and best practices.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, local authorities, and project stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Minimum 10 years' relevant geology or geotechnical experience, including significant field-based experience.
- Degree qualified in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Strong ability to interpret ground investigation data and apply sound engineering judgement.
- Experience supporting major construction, infrastructure, earthworks, or environmental projects.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
