Energetik is seeking an experienced and technically credible Head of Heat Network Development to lead early-stage development, technical strategy, and concept design for our expanding heat network portfolio. This senior role collaborates closely with business development, commercial, and delivery teams to shape technically robust, commercially viable solutions.
Demand for low-carbon heat is growing, and strong early-stage technical leadership ensures network expansions are deliverable, compliant, and commercially sound. The role provides technical leadership, supports developer onboarding, ensures coordinated network growth, and bridges engineering with commercial decision-making.

Heat Network Development & Design:
- Lead technical development of new connections and extensions
- Develop and review RIBA Stage 2–3 heat substation designs
- Support long-term strategic planning
Commercial & Business Development Support:
- Input into costs, financial models, and investment cases
- Identify technical risks and opportunities
- Serve as technical authority for development-stage activity
- Extensive district heating/heat network design experience
- Experience with developers and local authorities
- Strong commercial awareness
- Experience supporting commercial decisions
- Knowledge of low-carbon heat sources and decarbonization
- Degree in Mechanical/Building Services/Energy Engineering
- Able to operate confidently at early project stages
