Join to apply for the Multi-Utility Design Engineer role at Energetics, part of the Last Mile Group. Energetics delivers high-quality multi-utility solutions and is expanding its Design team.
As a Multi-Utility Designer, you’ll design multi-utility networks across at least two of Electric, Water, Gas, or Heat for developments including housing, industrial, commercial, and multi-occupancy projects. You’ll own projects from quote acceptance through design approval, collaborating with internal teams and sales to ensure designs are technically approved and commercially aligned.
Based in Hamilton, with consideration for candidates from Warrington and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of multi-utility design projects, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, technical standards, and internal policies.
- Manage the full design lifecycle from quotation acceptance to final adoption, meeting key milestones and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with Design Engineers and internal teams to ensure technical compliance and seamless project delivery.
- Act as a liaison with developers, network operators, water companies, and other stakeholders to support project success.
- Monitor project scope, costs, and specifications, verify contracts, and highlight variations in line with commercial procedures.
Experience / Knowledge
- Experience designing single or multi-utility projects in domestic, commercial and multi-occupancy settings.
- Experience of CMD regulations and ability to interpret and apply to design solutions.
- Practical knowledge of relevant new roads and streetworks regulations.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex engineering drawings and commercial documentation.
- Excellent IT literacy with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
Qualifications
- Minimum of HNC in an Engineering related discipline.
