Main Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with regional nursing, operational and GP team members to ensure all targets are met in line with national service frameworks.
  • Act within professional boundaries, providing care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
  • Demonstrate safe, clinical decision‐making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients within the general practice.
  • Work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required.
  • Assist the Regional Lead Nurse and act as a deputy as required to ensure a high level of quality and standards at all times.
  • Assist with the implementation of any nursing / ACHP redesign and quality strategies to ensure a high quality nursing / AHCP team.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • First Level UK registered nurse / Registered AHCP with at least 2 years post‐qualified experience.
  • Non‐medical Prescriber.
  • Demonstrates sound evidence of academic links.
  • Extensive clinical experience in primary care health settings and managing nursing teams.
  • Understanding of the Lead Role.
