Position Overview
Energean is seeking to employ a Senior Accountant to join the Group Reporting team in London. The role will support the preparation of consolidated financial reporting, work closely with international finance teams and external auditors, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality IFRS reporting at group level. This is a broad role offering exposure to complex accounting matters and international operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Group Reporting and Consolidation: Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting processes. Review submissions from international finance teams and ensure consistency with group accounting policies. Execute consolidation processes and reconciliations.
- Technical Accounting: Analyse complex accounting matters and prepare technical accounting papers under UK-adopted IFRS. Support the implementation of new accounting standards and group accounting policies. Contribute to preparation of disclosures for annual and interim financial statements.
- Audit and External Reporting: Work closely with external auditors during interim and year-end audits. Support preparation of audit deliverables and respond to audit queries. Assist with preparation of papers for senior management and Board / Audit Committee.
- Group Finance Projects: Support improvements to group reporting processes and systems. Assist with finance transformation initiatives including consolidation system in SAP and KPI reporting automation. Contribute to development and documentation of group accounting policies and manuals.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and group consolidation.
- Experience in group reporting or audit of large international groups, oil & gas or another industry.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work with multiple international stakeholders.
