ENERCON have a new opportunity for a Trainee Warehouse Assistant to join our dedicated warehouse and logistics team in Inverness. This role will suit someone who enjoys working in fast-paced environments and is looking to gain valuable experience in the wind energy sector.
Overview of the role
The main purpose of this role is to offer essential support to our team of experts in our busy Warehouse based in Dalcross, near Inverness.
The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and will be offered on a 6-12 month contract.
You will receive a full Company induction and all training for the role will be provided. This includes, forklift, first aid, manual handling, PPE inspection courses and IT Systems training.
Your role and responsibilities as Warehouse Assistant
- Effectively handle and record large deliveries into the warehouse.
- Organise logistics to ensure that items and parts are returned efficiently and securely to our warehouse in Germany.
- Prepare shipments for departure and keep stock of items arriving and leaving the warehouse.
- Work as part of a team and utilise IT packages for record keeping.
- Promote ENERCON’s values, vision and mission by following Company policies, procedures, and ensuring that all customers, employees and other stakeholders, are treated professionally and respectfully.
- You may be required to travel for training and to support with the transportation of goods.
The key qualities that we look for,
- A minimum of six months’ work experience in a retail, warehouse, or commercial environment.
- A minimum higher qualification in English or Maths is desirable
- A willingness and desire to learn new skills
- A proactive attitude towards team work and problem solving
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A full, valid UK driving licence (Essential)
What we offer you,
- A rate of £10.00 - £12.21 per hour
- Extensive training and opportunities to progress within ENERCON
- You will work 40 hours per week, from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, Monday to Friday. Some weekend cover is required on a rota basis.
- 33 days annual Leave, (25 days leave, plus 8 public holidays)
