Position: Major Component Exchange Technician
Location: Thurles, Co. Tipperary, Ireland
Travel Requirement: This role involves 100% travel across Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work as part of the Update Support Team, performing tasks on ENERCON wind turbines at sites across Ireland and abroad.
- Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Ensure all components meet high manufacturing standards through thorough checks.
- Handle mechanical installation aspects of projects, including updates and installations.
- Collaborate with subcontractors on-site.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Update Support Manager, Team Leader, or Second Person.
Qualifications and Profile:
- Experience working on wind farm sites is advantageous.
- Certificates such as Banksman/Slinger Course, CSCS Card, Telescopic Loader Ticket, and/or MEWP are a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Effective workload management skills.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
- Willingness to travel nationwide and abroad, demonstrating high mobility.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and achieve targets.
- Positive, proactive team player with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
