We have an excellent permanent opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager to join our Project Management team in Edinburgh. The role offers an opportunity to make the role your own, and make a direct impact towards ENERCON’s success. Essentially you will live within a commutable distance to our office at Edinburgh Business Park.

An overview of the role: As Electrical Project Manager, you will support projects across the UK and Ireland, with occasional travel to other European countries. You will collaborate with stakeholders within the Project Management team including the GPM, Commercial PM and Construction team. You will bring strong experience in electrical power systems, power generation, power distribution and contract management, providing high-quality technical guidance to customers, internal teams, and network operators. Your primary focus will be delivering expert technical input during the initiation and planning phases of projects. Working closely with the Construction Manager, you will help develop project schedules, identifying costs, and highlight potential downtime or construction risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical advice to the PM team, customers, sales teams and utilities on all electrical works topics
  • Collaborate with the Project team to develop customer offers, bills of quantities and supplier technical specifications
  • Support customers and network operators with the design of network connections
  • Assist Sales during tenders, negotiations, planning, scheduling and scope alignment
  • Ensure electrical works are specified and delivered in line with Health & Safety standards and local/international regulations
  • Support the commercial team with contract and claims management
  • Identify and assess additional costs, downtime and construction challenges alongside the Construction Manager
  • Drive project optimisation initiatives with the General Project Manager and project partners
  • Act as the main customer contact for electrical matters across all four project phases
  • Take responsibility for electrical work packages during wind turbine planning and installation, working with internal specialist teams

About You:

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience in power generation and electrical power systems
  • Renewable energy sector experience highly desirable
  • Electrical Project Management experience within an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of SAP and SCADA systems is advantageous
  • Proactive, confident and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, Ireland, and internationally
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Comfortable working at height
