Founded in 2023, EG is committed to empowering youth by fostering community connections, enhancing access to opportunities, and driving impactful, youth-led initiatives. Signature programs like Project 9.0 aim to end child homelessness in London within nine years, while Sports Mode promotes access to sports through free or low-cost sessions. Role Description
This is a volunteer hybrid role for a Youth Advisory Board Member, located in the London Area, United Kingdom, with some flexibility to work from home. In this role, you will collaborate with other board members to guide and shape strategic decisions, provide input on organizational goals, and support the planning and execution of youth-led initiatives. Key responsibilities include attending regular meetings (virtually or in-person), conducting research, providing informed advice on youth-focused issues, and representing the voice and interests of young people in your community.
Qualifications
- Financial literacy and basic understanding of budgeting or financial decision-making
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in research to support evidence-based decision-making
- Experience or interest in fundraising and securing resources for social initiatives
- Marketing skills, including promoting initiatives and engaging with community audiences
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to represent diverse youth perspectives
- Passionate about social impact, community development, and youth empowerment
- Knowledge of social challenges affecting young people in London is an advantage
