About the Role
The Health and Safety Manager role is to prevent workplace accidents, injuries and work-related illnesses while ensuring the company complies with national health &safety and environmental regulation
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures
- Conducting risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards
- Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety laws and regulations
- Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes
- Preparing and delivering safety training programs for employees
- Liaising with regulatory authorities to stay up-to-date with industry standards
- Managing emergency procedures, such as evacuations and first aid
- Reporting on health and safety performance and improvements to senior management
- Understand and promote the company’s Mission, Vision and Values in day-to-day work. Sharing, Integrity, Excellence, Innovation.
Required Skills
- 3 years of hands-on experience in a health, safety, and environment role within manufacturing
- Deep familiarity with UK safety laws, hazard identification, and safety management software
- Organisational and Time Management Skills.
- Problem-solving abilities to influence workers across all floor and management levels.
- Able to work in a busy environment under pressure.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
