Senior Account Handler / Team Leader Watford | Hybrid Working Available
We're looking for an experienced Senior Account Handler / Team Leader to join our growing Commercial Insurance team in Watford.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine management of a portfolio of complex corporate clients with leading a team of experienced Account Handlers.
The role would suit someone who enjoys both technical client work and helping others succeed.
Our Watford office is fast growing and as we continue to expand, we're looking for someone who can help maintain exceptional client service standards, strengthen operational delivery and support the next phase of growth.
The Role
You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, managing a portfolio of mid-corporate and corporate clients while acting as the technical lead and mentor for a team of Account Handlers.
Key responsibilities
- Managing complex commercial insurance programmes and renewals.
- Providing technical guidance and support to the Account Handling team.
- Supporting client strategy, market engagement and insurer negotiations.
- Overseeing workloads, service delivery and renewal activity.
- Driving operational excellence, workflow management and continuous improvement.
- Supporting office growth initiatives, recruitment and team development.
- Building strong relationships with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders.
About You
- At least 3 years' commercial insurance account handling experience.
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of commercial insurance products.
- Experience managing complex corporate clients.
- A proven ability to mentor, support or lead colleagues.
- Excellent organisational, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach and passion for delivering exceptional client service.
- Experience within technology, renewable energy or energy storage sectors would be advantageous.
