Job Description
This person will be responsible for the onboarding of our service and maintenance contracts for our clients in the midlands and southern regions. The role is mainly site based. It will have two primary functions:
- Onboarding new contracts, putting together working procedures, liaising with planning departments, onboarding subcontractors and establishing a working practice for site engineers and supervisors.
- Overseeing existing contracts, delivering to agreed KPIs, putting in place a continuous improvement programme and renewing contracts within the above regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboard contracts with customers at their sites and ensure smooth execution.
- Establish strong working relationships with a wide range of people and act as a team player while using initiative to make relevant decisions.
- Negotiate sub‑contract orders, monitor subcontractors, plan critical dates, and work with client planners.
- Serve as the first point of contact for members of the public, clients, site managers and subcontractors for the duration of a contract.
- Oversee the renewal process, ensuring renewals represent good value and serve business interests of client and supplier.
- Work closely with Account Managers internally and externally.
- Collaborate with Service Delivery process and Service Advisors to tailor and deliver on the service scope.
- Find ways to save client time and money, tailor schedules, and increase scope.
- Commit fully to the company PDR Process.
- Split work between home or office work and regular client visits; protective clothing is compulsory when on site.
Qualifications
- Engineering qualification: minimum HNC/HND in an engineering discipline, preferably an engineering degree.
- Extensive time in a similar role may be considered.
- Experience as a site manager, facilities manager, engineering manager, project or contracts manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience as an engineer or account manager acceptable if a good mixture of commercial and technical admin is demonstrated.
