Internal Sales Engineer – Location: Aberdeen, Scotland / Hybrid (with occasional travel to Manchester). This role sits within Integrity’s Internal Sales Engineer department, supporting the Endress+Hauser product portfolio while operating as part of our internal sales function.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and pre-qualifying incoming customer enquiries from a technical and commercial perspective, including negotiation of terms
  • Producing clear, accurate and timely quotations and proposals
  • Actively use Salesforce.com and SAP to collaborate on and manage business opportunities
  • Maintaining and managing the sales pipeline, including forecasting dates and probabilities from opportunity through to order
  • Working closely with internal teams to develop and improve customer performance
  • Owning and managing customer accounts, including CRM and database maintenance
  • Continuously developing product knowledge through in-house training
  • Promoting digital sales platforms and tools
  • Liaising with colleagues across the business to ensure excellent customer service
  • Identifying and developing cross-selling opportunities

Qualifications

  • Educated to technical degree level or equivalent relevant industry qualification (advantageous)
  • Experience within an engineering environment; instrumentation and automation experience desirable but not essential
  • Previous sales experience within an engineering or technical environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence using telephone and digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and operate effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable with a consultative sales approach and effective questioning techniques
