Overview
Field Service Engineer – South at Endress+Hauser Group
Location: South (Milton Keynes or Oxford or M4 corridor)
Role & Responsibilities
- To commission, calibrate and repair onsite instrumentation
- To service, calibrate and fault diagnostics/repair of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation
- To work in all industries within the Company customer database
- To liaise with the Service Coordinators to ensure that all spares, tools and paperwork are available to enable them to carry out their duties
- To liaise with customers when required prior to executing the job to ensure full understanding of the nature of the job and to advise estimated time of arrival and any delays
- To adhere to site safety rules, permit to work systems and carry out risk assessments
- To work to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and the Company quality management system
- Requirement to travel throughout the UK, overseas and possibly offshore
- Provide services and support to other departments and customers as deemed appropriate by the Services Manager
- Timely and accurate job reporting in accordance with the Company service report forms
Qualifications & Profile
- Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level, preferably in Electronics or Instrumentation or Control
- Recognised apprenticeship in the above disciplines is ideal or a minimum of 2 years\\\’ Process Control experience
- A clean driving licence
- Problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Process Instrumentation or similar experience would be preferred
- Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative or as part of a team
- Flexible approach to working activities
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to develop good working relationships with customers
- Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
