Field Service Engineer – Instrumentation / Electrical / Automation

Central Scotland

Role + Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to cover Central Scotland. The role requires servicing, commissioning, and fault diagnostics/repair of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation.

Main responsibilities

· You will develop your electrical skills within our onsite training centre

· You will be commissioning, calibrating, and repairing onsite measurement instrumentation equipment.

· You will be working in all industries (Food & Beverage, Water, Oil & Gas, Power & Energy, Chemical, Life Science) within the Company customer database

· You will be liaising with the Service Coordinators to ensure that all spares, tools and paperwork is available to enable them to carry out their duties

· You will be adhering to site safety rules, permit to work systems and carry out risk assessments

· You will be working to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and the Company quality management system

· You will be providing services and support to other departments and customers as deemed appropriate by the Services Manager

Qualification + Profile

· Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level, preferably in Electronics or Instrumentation ofcontrol

· Recognised apprenticeship in the above disciplines is ideal or a minimum of 2 years\’ Process Control experience

· Problem solving and diagnostic skills

· To be highly motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team

· A flexible approach to working activities

· Excellent communication and organisational skills

· The ability to develop good working relationships with customers

· Excellent punctuality and timekeeping

· You will have the security of working for an international family-owned company and global leader within measurement instrumentation.
