Location: Aberdeen, Scotland / Hybrid (with occasional travel to Manchester). Integrity is a trusted partner of Endress+Hauser. This role sits within Integrity’s Internal Sales Engineer department, supporting the Endress+Hauser product portfolio while operating as part of our internal sales function. As an Internal Sales Engineer, you will provide sales and technical support to customers across Scotland. While the role is primarily office/hybrid based, you will be required to make occasional trips to Manchester. You will report to the Endress+Hauser Regional Manager within the North East and Scotland team.
Main responsibilities of an Internal Sales Engineer:
- Managing and pre-qualifying incoming customer enquiries from a technical and commercial perspective, including negotiation of terms.
- Producing clear, accurate and timely quotations and proposals.
- Actively use Salesforce.com and SAP to collaborate on and manage business opportunities.
- Maintaining and managing the sales pipeline, including forecasting dates and probabilities from opportunity through to order.
- Working closely with internal teams to develop and improve customer performance.
- Owning and managing customer accounts, including CRM and database maintenance.
- Continuously developing product knowledge through in-house training.
- Promoting digital sales platforms and tools.
- Liaising with colleagues across the business to ensure excellent customer service.
- Identifying and developing cross-selling opportunities.
Qualification & profile of an Internal Sales Engineer:
- Educated to technical degree level or equivalent relevant industry qualification (advantageous).
- Experience within an engineering environment; instrumentation and automation experience desirable but not essential.
- Previous sales experience within an engineering or technical environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence using telephone and digital platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and operate effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with a consultative sales approach and effective questioning techniques.
