Endon High School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Apprenticeship Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school community. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and eager to learn how to support teaching and learning in the classroom. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff while completing a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification. Full training and mentoring will be provided. All candidates are required to provide a supporting statement on the application form.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils’ learning across a range of subjects and age groups
  • Assist the class teacher in preparing learning materials and classroom activities
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
  • Contribute to pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Support with playground duties, classroom organisation, and general school tasks
  • Participate in training, reviews, and assessments as part of your apprenticeship

Working Hours & Contract

  • Working hours: 37 hours per week – Term time only 38 weeks plus 5 inset days (39 weeks).
  • Contract type: To be confirmed once Apprentice Course has finished.
