Endometriosis is underfunded and overlooked. Join us as a Fundraising Volunteer and help support campaigns, events, and community fundraising that power real change.

Fundraising Volunteers play a crucial role in enabling our organisation to continue and grow its work supporting people affected by endometriosis. Our organisation works to challenge inequalities in care, raise awareness, amplify lived experience, and advocate for more inclusive and evidence-informed health services. None of this work is possible without sustainable funding. By supporting fundraising activity, Fundraising Volunteers help turn public support into real, practical impact.

Your involvement allows us to reach more people, run more events, and invest time in advocacy and awareness activity that would otherwise be limited by resources. It also helps us build stronger connections with our supporters, ensuring people who care about this cause feel informed, valued, and part of meaningful change.

Fundraising Volunteers also help us move beyond short-term or reactive fundraising. By supporting ongoing activity, you contribute to greater financial stability, which allows the organisation to plan ahead, respond to emerging needs, and develop work that has long-term impact. The difference you make is not just financial. By helping share our message and engage others, you help raise the profile of endometriosis and contribute to changing how it is understood and talked about.

This supports a wider shift towards better awareness, earlier diagnosis, and more equitable care. In short, your support helps sustain an organisation working in an under-resourced area of health. The time and energy you give directly enable action, advocacy, and progress — making a real difference to individuals and communities affected by endometriosis.

We are looking for a Fundraising Volunteer with relevant experience who wants to use their skills to support a cause that is often under-funded and overlooked. The most important qualities for this role are reliability, integrity, and a commitment to ethical, values-led practice. You should be comfortable supporting fundraising activity in a professional and respectful way, and able to work within agreed guidance and boundaries.

You should have experience in fundraising or a closely related area. This could include community fundraising, individual giving, supporter engagement, events-based fundraising, sales, relationship management, marketing, communications, or business development. Experience may have been gained through paid work or volunteering. Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves helping promote fundraising campaigns, engaging with supporters, and working alongside internal teams.

You should be confident explaining fundraising initiatives, encouraging participation, and representing the organisation positively. You should be organised and able to manage agreed tasks independently, while keeping in regular contact with the Fundraising Manager. Reliability and clear communication are more important to us than the number of hours you can offer. An understanding of ethical fundraising principles, or the ability to work within them, is required.

You will be supported with policies, guidance, and supervision, and will not be expected to handle funds independently unless trained and authorised. Experience using online platforms, social media, or digital fundraising tools is helpful but not essential. We are open to volunteers with different skill sets, as long as they meet the experience requirement and are willing to contribute in a collaborative way.

We value inclusion, accessibility, and compassion in everything we do. Lived experience of endometriosis, chronic illness, disability, or navigating healthcare systems can be an asset, but it is not a requirement. Respect for lived experience and a willingness to learn are far more important than specialist knowledge. Above all, we are looking for someone who wants to make a meaningful contribution and understands that their experience will directly help sustain and grow an organisation working to improve care, awareness, and equity in endometriosis.

As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will support practical fundraising activity under the guidance of our Fundraising Manager. This may include helping promote fundraising campaigns, supporting community or online fundraising initiatives, assisting with event-related fundraising, or helping engage supporters who want to get involved.

You might help share fundraising messages through social media or community networks, support peer-to-peer fundraising, assist with basic supporter communications, or help gather feedback and insights to improve future activity. Tasks will be agreed in advance and matched to your availability, interests, and skills.

You will be part of a small, collaborative team and work alongside the Fundraising Manager, Events Manager, and other volunteers. Strategic oversight is provided by our Funding & Fundraising Trustee, while day-to-day support comes from the operations and leadership team. You will always have clear guidance, boundaries, and support.

This role is flexible and can be adapted to fit around other commitments. Some volunteers support occasional campaigns or events, while others prefer to offer regular ongoing support. We value reliability and communication over the number of hours you can give.

The focus of this role is on practical support rather than strategic planning. You will not be expected to design fundraising strategy or handle funds independently unless trained and authorised. Instead, your contribution helps ensure fundraising activity runs smoothly and reaches the people who want to support our work.

By supporting fundraising activity, you help make our work possible — enabling us to reach more people, challenge inequalities in care, and continue advocating for change in an area that is often under-resourced and overlooked.
