We are Endoline Machinery Ltd, a UK based manufacturer of end of line packaging machinery including case erectors, loaders, sealers and conveyors. We specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of high quality end of line packaging machinery. For over 40 years, Endoline’s business has developed from designing and manufacturing small case taping machines to its position today as a leading UK manufacturer and worldwide supplier of end-of-line packaging machines and systems.
We are now recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Design team who assume responsibility for the design and development of conceptual and detailed solutions for our customers globally. In addition to this as one of our Mechanical Design Engineers you will be responsible for:
- Liaising with all relevant parties to provide thorough, detailed solutions in a timely manner.
- Verifying and validating machine design to needs and specifications.
- Creating clear and accurate detailed drawings.
- Creating clear and accurate BOMs.
- Ensuring design considers structural stability, DFM and DFMA.
- Creating clear and concise documentation to support solutions i.e. Assembly drawings, manual appendices.
In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:
- A degree or HNC/HND in a mechanically biased subject such as Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or would preferred, however some candidates may be qualified through experience only.
- Previous experience in design within an industrial company manufacturing machinery, ideally within the packaging industry would be ideal.
- Ability to deliver innovative solutions to budget and schedule.
- Strong working knowledge of 3D CAD tools, ideally Solidworks.
- Good understanding of the Machinery Directive.
- Ability to identify risk and offer considered solutions.
- Ability to challenge methodology and standard practice.
- Exposure to project management.
- Ability to work well with customers and suppliers, both internal and external.
- Ability to work effectively within a team operating in a multi-tasking and pressured environment is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An enthusiasm for design and engineering.
