Location: Biggleswade, SG18 8QB

Salary: Up to £34.5K per annum, DOE + Overtime (for hours above 38, 2x on Sundays)

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am - 2.30pm Friday (38 hours per week)

Due to our continuing success, Endoline Automation are currently recruiting for another Mechanical Fitter to join our growing Production team. You'll be responsible for assembling high quality components and specialist sub-assemblies for our customers across a variety of industries, worldwide. If you have some prior experience in Mechanical Assembly, a positive outlook and enjoy being part of a team, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

As our Mechanical Fitter you will be specifically responsible for:

  • Reading, interpreting and working accurately from assembly and pneumatic drawings
  • Running field wiring in advance of electrical fitters
  • Conducting routine inspections to assess the functionality and condition of returned machinery
  • Identifying mechanical faults and performing the necessary repairs or replacements
  • Running tests on equipment to ensure proper operation after repairs or maintenance

Previous experience in Mechanical Assembly - this is essential

Proven experience in building bespoke or special purpose machinery

Electrical machine wiring skills and experience of pneumatics would be beneficial

Customer focus and the drive to work to the highest standards of quality

This role is based on-site at our factory in Biggleswade. We supply all of our Mechanical Fitters with any specialist equipment required to carry out the role but do expect you to provide your own hand tools whenever possible. We supply uniform and provide allowance for safety shoes.
