I am working with my client a leading Specialist Finance, Insurance & Investment House based in the City of London, who are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator.
The Role
Working with the Head of IT to provide technical expertise and oversight across the Group's infrastructure, cloud, networking and cybersecurity environments, ensuring systems and services are secure, resilient, well maintained and aligned with business needs plus deputising for the Head of IT when required.
Key responsibilities:
• Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity issues.
• Support cybersecurity operations, including vulnerability management, incident investigation and remediation activities in conjunction with the managed SOC.
• Design, implement and maintain infrastructure and systems architecture.
• Deliver infrastructure projects across networking, on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Support the Head of IT in maintaining the governance, security, resilience and compliance of the Group's technology estate.
• Deputise for the Head of IT during periods of absence.
• Act as Incident Coordinator for high-priority incidents, including network, infrastructure and business-critical system outages.
Key Requirements:
• Microsoft Technologies : Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune and associated Microsoft cloud services.
• Infrastructure & Cloud : Azure, VMware virtualisation, enterprise storage platforms, backup and recovery solutions, disaster recovery technologies, hybrid cloud environments, Microsoft SQL Server administration and business application platforms
• Networking : TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching, WAN connectivity and enterprise
wireless networks.
• Cyber Security : Security controls, secure configuration, endpoint protection, vulnerability management and incident investigation and response.
