Key Responsibilities:
  • Help prepare, monitor and maintain a safe and secure learning environment in line with the teacher’s lesson plans.
  • Work under the direct supervision of a teacher to carry out planned learning activities with small groups or individual pupils, providing feedback on their engagement and achievement of desired learning objectives.
  • Encourage a high standard of behaviour, develop relationships with others, and recognise and deal with emotions appropriately.
  • Prepare and utilise ICT resources to support pupils' learning.
  • Prepare and support the use of learning materials and create visual displays as required by the teacher.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a duty of care for all children attending the Extended Services Wraparound Care.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and Extended Services provision teams.
  • Maintain communication with the Extended Services Support Lead and Deputy Lead.
  • Provide care and encouragement to children and young people with disabilities or special educational needs, supporting them to participate in activities and liaising with parents/carers/other professionals as appropriate.
We are looking for someone who has:
  • Experience of working with children and a commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable childcare environment.
  • Experience in a play, childcare or out of school setting is essential.
  • Level 2 NVQ or CACHE or working towards is desirable.
  • Ability to create an inspirational and stimulating child-centred play and care environment.
  • Excellent communication (written & oral) and interaction skills with children, parents, and colleagues.
