About Banijay UK: Banijay UK is home to over 20 leading independent production companies making some of the biggest shows on television. In a recent staff survey, 96% of staff said they felt they could be their authentic self while at work and over 80% said Banijay was the best place they had ever worked. Banijay UK Social Studio is a newly formed central team with a remit to promote Banijay UK’s extensive library of content on social media platforms, working across both marketing and monetisation priorities for the business to create best-in-class digital content.
Job purpose: As Digital Rights and Operations Manager you will be responsible for the smooth running of the digital team's content production processes, equipping our Digital Producers and Digital Editors with everything they need to deliver successful social campaigns for some of Banijay UK’s biggest titles. You will work with key stakeholders in Banijay Rights (the distribution arm of Banijay Group), Business Affairs and Banijay’s UK production labels to understand the digital rights and compliance restrictions around Banijay UK’s IPs on social media and effectively communicate these to the digital team. You will also work with senior stakeholders to unlock new digital revenue opportunities across the business, in line with the wider Banijay UK Social Studio strategy. You will lead on digital file management, team logistics and additional requirements, keeping all documentation up to date.
The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background, with the ability to oversee several projects at once, and implement efficient processes at every turn. We are looking for a problem solver who is confident in liaising with senior stakeholders, broadcasters and legal teams. This role will be line managing the Digital Operations Assistant, who will provide support to this role and the wider team as required.
Duties:
- Complete understanding of digital exploitation rights for select Banijay UK titles.
- Working with internal stakeholders to unlock rights and clearance information for digital exploitation.
- Working with internal stakeholders to devise and implement efficient workflows for rights and clearance checks.
- Implement systems and processes to streamline the Banijay UK digital team's daily processes and overall output.
- Explore BUK digital archive availability in line with team strategy.
- Management of custom ID tracking for YouTube content.
- Facilitate delivery of all necessary files and assets for digital team as required.
- Point of contact for digital team regarding Rights and Compliance queries.
- Produce and maintain live working digital production documentation.
- Ad hoc project management tasks for Banijay UK Social Studio as required.
- Line management of the Digital Operations Assistant, including overseeing workload and priorities.
Knowledge and skills:
- Significant project management experience.
- Excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Solutions-oriented with a positive problem-solving mindset.
- Experience using project management systems such as Monday.com or similar.
- Working understanding of clearance and rights complexities.
- Understanding of social media platforms.
Desirable: Experience in the television/entertainment industry.
Reporting to: Head of Digital
Contract type and hours: Full time, 9:30am - 6pm. We will consider flexible working requests for all roles, unless operational requirements prevent otherwise.
