Office Administrator Location: Salisbury
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Two part‑time team members, each 15–25 hours per week, depending on role split.
Shift Pattern: The office is open Monday – Friday 08:00–17:30. Shifts are predominantly afternoons, with some full days on Thursdays and Fridays.
About the role
- Answering phones and booking appointments
- Logistical planning of vets' diaries
- Responding to queries via phone, in person, and email
- Registering new clients
- Handling account queries and payments
- Completing insurance forms
- Dispensing medications
- Taking payments
- Providing a warm and welcoming experience to clients arriving at the practice
What we're looking for
- Previous receptionist experience essential; veterinary and equine experience a plus.
- Experience with horses or equine knowledge desired.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritise workload essential.
- Resilient and able to cope with busy, emotional situations.
- Excellent communicator with strong empathy.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience dealing with the public.
- Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems.
