Endeavour Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a Cloud Solutions Architect to work for a large client in the Energy Sector in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. This is a permanent position with a negotiable salary.
Required Skills:
- 15+ years of proven experience in Cloud/IT/Networking/Operating systems.
- Preferably experienced in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Desirable experience with Azure and AWS cloud technologies, deployment techniques, and PowerShell.
- A degree in geo-science, engineering, computer science, or business, with relevant experience.
- Systems knowledge in:
- Networking – firewalls, traffic flow, security, switches
- Security – authentication, Active Directory, Kerberos, LDAP, SAML, domain policies
- Web technologies – IIS, Apache, JBOSS, Tomcat, NodeJS, SharePoint
- Databases – Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server; SQL scripting and administration
- Encryption – SSL, encoding/decoding
- Virtualisation – Hyper-V, VMWare, virtual appliances, VDI
- Container/Docker – micro-services, hyper-virtualisation
- Server OS – Windows, RHEL 6 and 7
- Graphics rendering technologies
- Thin-client technologies – XenApp, Horizon
- Oil industry applications – installation, configuration, troubleshooting
- Data management – data types, governance across domains like wells, seismic, production, drilling
