PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE The primary purpose and responsibilities of the Group Reporting Specialist include: • Ownership of Group consolidation and preparation of the quarterly and year-end financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements (listed on TSX/LSE); • Support preparation of other external reporting and regulatory filings (MD&A); Ensure quarterly and year-end financial statements are accurate, of a high standard, and adhere to the relevant accounting standards. • Ensure monthly financial statements are prepared accurately and on time. • Maintain key group reconciliations as part of consolidation process. • Be a trusted partner in the transition to Oracle EPM for monthly, quarterly and yearly consolidation. • Collaboration with the tax and treasury teams to ensure information in group consolidation aligns to tax and treasury files and provide support on annual CBCR and Pillar II financial information. • Providing ad-hoc training on accounting and reporting related developments across the Group. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with relevant post qualification experience preferably with a Big-4 firm. Significant experience in either financial controlling or external audit, with a good knowledge of IFRS and mature financial controls for the Extractive Industry. • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel. • A strong working knowledge of SUN, Oracle and WDesk will be an advantage. • Open to potential travel to Africa.
