The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
The primary purpose and responsibilities of the Group Reporting Specialist include:
- Ownership of Group consolidation and preparation of the quarterly and year-end financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements (listed on TSX/LSE);
- Support preparation of other external reporting and regulatory filings (MD&A); Ensure quarterly and year-end financial statements are accurate, of a high standard, and adhere to the relevant accounting standards.
- Ensure monthly financial statements are prepared accurately and on time.
- Maintain key group reconciliations as part of the consolidation process.
- Be a trusted partner in the transition to Oracle EPM for monthly, quarterly and yearly consolidation.
- Collaboration with the tax and treasury teams to ensure information in group consolidation aligns to tax and treasury files and provide support on annual CBCR and Pillar II financial information.
- Providing ad-hoc training on accounting and reporting related developments across the Group.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with relevant post qualification experience preferably with a Big-4 firm.
- Significant experience in either financial controlling or external audit, with a good knowledge of IFRS and mature financial controls for the Extractive Industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- A strong working knowledge of SUN, Oracle and WDesk will be an advantage.
- Open to potential travel to Africa.
