We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Legal & Compliance team with third-party due diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate compliance within a dynamic, international mining company.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in collecting, reviewing, and verifying third-party documentation in accordance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Conduct preliminary due diligence checks on new and existing third parties using internal systems and databases.
- Monitor and follow up on missing, incomplete, or expired documentation.
- Support the team in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential compliance issues.
- Escalate red flags or suspicious findings to senior team members.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of compliance tools, templates, and process improvements.
- Currently pursuing or recently completing a degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of compliance, due diligence, and KYC principles is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive team player with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Practical experience in legal compliance and third-party due diligence.
- Exposure to global onboarding and compliance practices.
- Mentorship and guidance from experienced legal professionals.
