ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Legal & Compliance team with third-party due diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate compliance within a dynamic, international mining company.

KEYS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in collecting, reviewing, and verifying third-party documentation in accordance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct preliminary due diligence checks on new and existing third parties using internal systems and databases.
  • Monitor and follow up on missing, incomplete, or expired documentation.
  • Support the team in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential compliance issues.
  • Escalate red flags or suspicious findings to senior team members.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of compliance tools, templates, and process improvements.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Candidate Profile

  • Currently pursuing or recently completing a degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of compliance, due diligence, and KYC principles is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive team player with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
