The HSBC Account Intern is responsible for delivering culturally relevant, insight-led communications that drive impact for our clients. We create and execute integrated PR, influencer and social strategies that build brand fame, spark conversation and connect audiences to brands in meaningful ways. Working from the London office, the team partners with a wide range of global and local brands, supporting everything from always-on press and creator programmes to social-first campaigns, launches and live moments. Our work spans strategy, storytelling, talent and creator relationships, content development, media relations, community management and performance reporting.

As an intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to how accounts are run day-to-day. You’ll shadow key clients, spend time embedded across different teams, and learn the processes that go into planning, executing and evaluating PR, creator, social and media activity. This role is designed to give you a well-rounded understanding of agency life and how integrated communications come together in practice.

The Role and What You’ll Do:

  • Gain a basic understanding of agency clients’ businesses and industries
  • Support the PR & Comms teams in the day-to-day operations of client relationships, media relations and influence marketing
  • Work as an integral part of the team alongside everyone from fellow interns to senior-level staff
  • Other job-related duties as specified by your manager

You Have These:

  • An enthusiastic, collaborative spirit who is eager to learn and dive into new projects
  • Strong interest in communications, public relations and partnerships influence marketing and social media
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Passion for or interest in sports & entertainment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Office Suite- specifically in PowerPoint/ Deck building
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Program Details:

We offer internship opportunities within our global sports and entertainment businesses, including global cultural marketing agency 160/90; global licensing business IMG Licensing; and entertainment agency WME (including WME Sports and Fashion). All internships are in the office and in person. In addition to hands-on experience and exposure to the global sports and entertainment industry, interns participate in events such as welcome/farewell sessions, a speaker series featuring company leaders, and career training workshops addressing everything from LinkedIn profile enhancement to resume building, interviewing skills, and networking. Monday through Friday, or standard local working hours in the internship location.

Important Dates:

  • February - March: The interview and selection process will take place.
  • The program will be 10 weeks in length.
  • EMEA (June 29th – September 4th)

Recruitment Process:

  4. Offer or decline. If selected, a recruiter will call to extend an offer. If not, a recruiter will reach out to let you know.

Eligibility:

Our programme is designed for recent graduates and those who are within six months of completing an undergraduate degree, unless otherwise stated. Candidates must confirm whether they currently require, or may require in the future, visa sponsorship from WME Group in order to work in the UK.

We offer paid internships; rates vary based on location. Pay rates typically align with local required minimums and vary by country.
