This professional will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) at the core of collaborative efforts with account, delivery, and sales teams, contributing significantly to the refinement of Endava’s offerings within the dynamic Travel industry. Integral to the Industry Expertise team, this role plays a key part in advancing Endava's strategic objectives, aiming to secure new travel customers and foster the expansion of existing accounts.
You will be able to empathize and communicate with new and existing Endava clients, to understand their needs, and translate them into commercial opportunities for Endava. We are looking for someone to grow their industry knowledge and liaise with other SMEs, inside and outside of Endava, to shape business challenges and provide proactive recommendations. You will become one of the central figures for this industry at Endava, so you will be centralizing thought leadership materials for client-facing and delivery teams. You will organize regular industry briefings and share knowledge around Endava.
Your Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a tight-knit team together with Sales and Delivery to drive and shape IVTs (Industry Vertical Teams)
- Drives the IVT SME (Subject Matter Expert) agenda
- Uses market knowledge to identify where Endava should be focusing now and next
- Works together with the SME Community to build out our capabilities within the industry
- Help identify the trends that result in additional skills, capabilities, and technologies being recruited into Endava
- Takes ownership of the IVT SME status
- Contributes the SME input to and attends the Industry IVT monthly executive meeting
- Understands enough of the business to appreciate impacts and pain points
- Bid content production collaboration (in tandem with rest of bid team)
What skills and experience do you need?
- You are a strong team player with a collaborative attitude who can play a central role within our new industry-aligned activities.
- Your have industry experience in either: working for an airline, preferably in a technology position; or working for a technology services company specialising in the airline industry
- You are knowledgeable of the travel industry at a broader (not too deep in each area) level
- You are up to date with industry dynamics and movements
- You can spot emerging industry trends and match them with Endava’s services and capabilities
- You are willing to be an industry face of Endava - contributing to/at events, online content media etc.
- You have a good network
- You have strong Leadership acumen
- You have experience starting a new product or service within an organization and constantly improving it. This includes marketing the new product or service both internally and externally
- You are comfortable in client sales presentations and account reviews
- You can produce sales and marketing collateral including blog posts and presenting to audiences at internal and external events
- You have experience writing and maintaining Marketing & Sales plans and Delivery teams
- You are comfortable in presenting progress updates to executive teams
- You can instil confidence at C-Level in solution integrity and build trust in Endava
- You can translate client needs into working with technical teams to define solutions.
