Principal Architect in London

We’re looking for a versatile Principal Architect to join our growing team in London. This is a broad architectural role where you’ll help shape and deliver technology solutions across a range of industries and domains—from cloud-native platforms to large-scale system integrations.

We want someone who thrives in complex environments, who can move comfortably between business needs and technical constraints, and who can work collaboratively with engineers, analysts, and client stakeholders. You’ll contribute throughout the lifecycle—from early discovery and shaping through to delivery assurance.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions that address real client challenges. You’ll support early-stage work such as technical discovery, architectural shaping, and pre-sales, and see it through to implementation by working closely with delivery teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

You don’t need to be the foremost expert in every area, but it’s important to be comfortable speaking the language of both enterprise architects, solution architects and data architects, and to feel confident engaging in meaningful discussions with either.

You will be engaging with C-Level execs helping shape the narrative and showing how Endava can help drive their visions and outcomes. Just as importantly, you’ll mentor others, contribute to our internal architecture community, and help shape Endava’s architectural thinking across projects and sectors.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone with significant experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade solutions, ideally across multiple domains and platforms. You’ll need to be fluent in architectural principles and confident applying them in a range of contexts—whether designing APIs, integration layers, distributed systems, or cloud-native services.

You will be comfortable discussing a multitude of technologies and feel comfortable shaping solutions using newer AI solutions and tooling. We’re looking for someone who communicates clearly, works well with others, and enjoys solving complex problems collaboratively. Experience with cloud platforms (especially AWS, Azure, or GCP), modern delivery environments, and pre-sales or bid shaping will stand you in good stead.
