Within Endava’s TMT segment, our Media, Entertainment & Sports (MES) group leverages deep expertise in core sports technology, media platforms, data, AI, and large‑scale digital experiences. We are seeking a best‑in‑class Industry Solutions Director to shape and deliver Endava’s solution strategy across this high‑growth vertical on a global scale. As a senior leader, you will be accountable for defining strategically differentiated, commercially viable solutions tightly aligned with evolving client needs across sports technology, digital media, content distribution, fan engagement, and interactive entertainment.
You will act as a trusted strategic advisor and hands‑on solution leader during major client pursuits – co‑creating compelling, deliverable solutions with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Your leadership will ensure end‑to‑end solution integrity, balancing innovation with feasibility and commercial outcomes, while championing the repeatability and reusability of successful solution patterns to scale our impact across markets and drive consistent value delivery. You will contribute strategic direction on capability development and service innovation, ensuring Endava remains future‑ready and competitive.
Collaboration is central – you’ll work in close partnership with Sales, Delivery, Practices, and Capability leaders to align go‑to‑market efforts and pursuit strategies. This role is ideal for a strategic specialist who bridges deep industry domain knowledge with strong technical credibility, and who can operate confidently at the intersection of technology, entertainment, and commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities- Define 3–5 go‑to‑market solutions per year aligned to the MES vertical strategy, covering fan engagement platforms, content monetisation, sports analytics, and immersive digital experiences.
- Partner with Practices and Alliances to build future‑ready capabilities around AI, real‑time data, gamification, and audience‑driven personalisation.
- Maintain a clear backlog of market‑informed solution gaps and opportunities, monitoring competitive trends across leagues, broadcasters, streaming platforms, and sports technology providers.
- Champion repeatability and reusability of successful solution patterns, helping to scale impact across markets and clients.
- Contribute to annual vertical planning and refresh solution themes quarterly.
- Lead solution shaping on 5+ strategic pursuits per year, ensuring all proposals are technically robust, margin‑aligned, and deliverable.
- Coach pursuit teams to build compelling, win‑ready solutions tailored to sports, media, and entertainment buyers.
- Drive reuse of IP across proposals to accelerate speed and consistency.
- Analyse and interpret sports and digital media market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies – bringing key insights to bear on every pursuit.
- Act as a strategic trusted advisor to global clients – including leagues, teams, federations, media rights holders, brand partners, broadcasters, and digital platforms – shaping digital transformation and growth strategies.
- Lead senior‑level conversations around technology adoption, fan personalisation, data strategies, media planning, immersive experiences, and content monetisation.
- Reframe client challenges into solution‑led opportunity roadmaps, instilling confidence and credibility across C‑suite stakeholders.
- Secure 2+ strategic client references or testimonials based on solution work annually.
- Embed AI, automation, and emerging tech into 100% of solution designs where relevant – including real‑time gamification, predictive analytics, AI‑driven performance insights, and next‑generation digital platforms.
- Identify and scale at least 1 market‑making or cross‑industry solution annually.
- Drive opportunities around fan engagement, personalisation, smart data applications, and digital content distribution.
- Run bi‑annual solution innovation sprints in collaboration with Practices.
- Actively participate in pursuit reviews, strategic account growth meetings, win/loss analysis, and deal assurance.
- Provide feedback to Practices and Service Lines on capability maturity and gaps relevant to the MES domain.
- Create and maintain alignment artefacts (e.g. solution catalogues, design patterns, competitive insight frameworks).
- Partner closely with internal delivery, technology, and product teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
- 12–15+ years in solution & enterprise architecture, consulting, delivery, or commercial leadership roles.
- Proven success shaping and selling large, strategic, and complex solutions in a consulting or IT services context.
- Deep expertise and an established network within the sports technology and media ecosystem – including fan engagement platforms, analytics, media rights distribution, immersive experiences, and data monetisation.
- Extensive experience in pre‑sales, proposals, and C‑level client engagement.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing client strategies that deliver sustained growth, including a track record of 20%+ revenue growth across a portfolio.
- Track record of working across sectors with the ability to tailor and scale offerings.
- Hands‑on leadership during strategic deals and contract structuring.
- Prior experience in end‑to‑end product and platform (aaS) build: architect, build, support & run.
- Strategic thinking that blends innovation, feasibility, and commercial outcomes within the sports, media, and entertainment landscape.
- Advanced pre‑sales solutioning capability across both technology and business dimensions.
- Strong technical credibility in digital platforms, AI, automation, cloud, data platforms, and digital media ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of sports tech verticals: analytics platforms, fan engagement technologies, smart data applications, digital content distribution, and competitive insight frameworks.
- Effective communicator with excellent influencing and stakeholder engagement skills; executive‑level presence across C‑suite audiences.
- Experience leading advisory or early discovery conversations with senior clients.
- Familiarity with delivery models and service‑based commercial constructs, including account P&L management.
- Champion of solution excellence culture, reusable IP, and pursuit discipline.
