The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager and working closely alongside the Mechanical Supervisor, EC&I Supervisor, Stores Inventory Controller and the Maintenance Planner Coordinator, the Maintenance Scheduler Coordinator will work in line with Encyclis procedures to ensure maintenance activities are completed as safely and efficiently as possible. The Maintenance Scheduler Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities.
Where you will be working
Encyclis Protos Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) is located within the Protos energy and resource hub, near Ellesmere Port in Cheshire. When complete, this two-line facility will have the capacity to divert up to 500,000 tonnes of residual waste away from landfill every year, generating sustainable electricity for up to 90,000 homes.
This role supports the implementation of short-term and long-term maintenance strategies in line with industry best practices and technical procedures. It requires the scheduling and coordination of maintenance activities to ensure safety and efficiency.
What We Need From You
Key Duties & Responsibilities of the role:
- Promote and support the delivery of Encyclis's Safety Rules and Safe Systems of Work, and work in accordance with all ACOPs and site procedures to ensure we are setting people to work safely.
- Reporting of any Health, Safety and Environmental unsafe conditions, accidents or incidents.
- Take joint ownership of the development and implementation of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), with the expectation to become a site expert on the CMMS.
- Prioritise, track and schedule all planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities and raise associated work orders and maintenance requests.
- Create and communicate accurate weekly and monthly CMMS reports to site management.
- Lead all scheduling meetings between Operations and Maintenance ensuring clear and concise communication between both departments.
- Develop, implement and maintain a robust scheduling system which is effective and efficient in the execution of maintenance activities.
- Ensure a consistent planning method is applied whilst carrying out maintenance activities.
- Develop and own a thorough and concise schedule where all activities are collated and communicated during the relevant forums.
- Identify critical paths to ensure efficient schedules are built and monitored throughout the duration of the project.
- Carry out live scheduling day to day and during outages by utilising systems to effectively monitor and update progress.
- Communicate maintenance and outage scheduling to the onsite O&M teams and the wider Encyclis Operations and Maintenance departments.
- Liaise with the Inventory Controller on availability, planning and procurement of spare parts and equipment.
- Fully conversant with maintenance processes and techniques with the ability to schedule, co-ordinate and execute planned outages.
- Arrange, schedule, coordinate and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
- Understand the underlying principles of specific vendor recommendations with regard to safety and reliability.
- Support the implementation of short-term and long-term maintenance strategies in line with industry best practices and technical procedures.
- Be responsible for outage scheduling in line with the CDM requirements and coordinate pre- and post-outage review meetings, deliver accurate outage plans and reports.
- Contactable during emergency situations and plant breakdowns when necessary.
- Provide supervisory support and cover to the Stores Inventory Controller to ensure the integration of stores management delivers operational and maintenance requirements.
- Support the Maintenance Planner Coordinator and Maintenance Supervisors to order spare parts which are non-stock.
- Provide supervision of contractors - day to day and during outages.
- Provide cover for the Maintenance Planner Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisors and the Stores Inventory Controller during times of absence.
Education & Experience
The preferred levels of education are a Higher National Diploma or National Vocational Qualification Level 4 or 3 in a technical or science subject, although relevant other qualifications with energy recovery or large process plant experience will be considered for the role. An apprenticeship completed in an engineering discipline will be essential.
Experience of maintenance planning and management activities in a large industrial facility.
Working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and file sharing methodology systems. Microsoft D365 knowledge would be advantageous.
Experience of managing contractors and work packages.
Working knowledge of COSHH.
Familiar with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or Prometheus is essential.
Demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement.
