Overview

Warehouse Technician role at Encore. The Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting warehouse operations and assigned projects, assisting the Warehouse Supervisor in responding to operational requirements, delivering equipment to prescribed standards, shipping/receiving orders, quality control, inventory control and other warehouse-related logistics. The Warehouse Technician reports to the Lead Warehouse Technician, Senior Warehouse Technician, Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager depending on function and region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound/Outbound Order Processing: Accurately receive, ship and label product, pick from inventoried locations and pack orders efficiently and accurately for delivery to venues, sites and/or other warehouses.
  • Quality Control and Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic QC procedures, present equipment, and conduct inventory control; clean, test, maintain, prepare and repair equipment prior to delivery to site or venue.
  • Handling and Transportation: Load and unload equipment to trucks; fault-find and repair equipment to minimize downtime; notify Warehouse Supervisor of any defective equipment and arrange maintenance/repair scheduling.
  • Logistics and Transportation: Prepare and process shipments to ship small parcels, LTL and via internal fleet; operate industrial powered forklifts (e.g., sit-down, reach, stock picker, powered pallet jack).
  • Safety: Perform daily checklists on forklifts and equipment; participate in safety initiatives; adhere to health and safety regulations and wear PPE; report health and safety issues to the HSE Manager or Warehouse Manager.
  • Warehouse Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe work area; perform equipment maintenance as necessary.
  • Customer Service: Deliver world class service, maintain operation efficiency and a cohesive relationship with other departments; maintain working knowledge of equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GCSE equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs. independently
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong communication skills with team members, site leadership and internal/external customers
  • Organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office
  • Experience using an RF-based WMS system (preferred)
  • Experience operating industrial forklift equipment

Work Environment and Employment Details

  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment; exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and dust
  • Working conditions may be moderately quiet to noisy
  • Use of high-end audiovisual equipment and electrical components
  • Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
