Scope of the Role
To prepare, install, operate & deārig production equipment and undertake associated tasks, including specification and preparation of equipment, supervision of staff on site and acting as client / venue liaison where required. Lighting Technicians are responsible for safely and efficiently delivering the production requirements of a wide range of events, including some aspects of the planning and preparation of events as directed. Working on their own, as part of a team and supervising others to ensure plans and verbal instructions are followed and that the ājobā is delivered safely, correctly and on time.

Main Responsibilities
- Understand and interpret technical plans and direction from senior team members and carry out tasks to the expected level.
- Rig, set up, focus and deārig lighting and related equipment to the expected standard and within the expected time frame.
- Work under pressure to a given timeline / build schedule.
- Assist with rigging and other departments to ensure show delivery.
- Faultāfind and fix a variety of systems.
- Program / operate consoles.
- Act as a āresponsible personā on site when required.
- Lead and manage a department or team on site.
- Supervise other technicians, freelancers and local crew on site when necessary.
- Support, train and nurture other technicians across all areas of the business.
- Specify equipment on smallātoāmedium jobs as directed.
- Book equipment from given plan / spec.
- Specify preāevent prep work and ensure it is completed accurately.
- Undertake warehouse preparation of equipment for an event ā e.g. preāaddressing, making looms etc.
- Willing to embrace and adapt to new technologies and ways of working.
- Work in compliance with Health and Safety policy and all company procedures at all times.
- Willing to represent the company in a positive manner at all times.
- Fulfil other reasonable duties as required by line manager or as requested by a senior person when on site.
Physical & Social Conditions
- Nonāstandard working hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the production.
- Working away from home, nationally and internationally on occasion.
- Understanding there will be strict timelines in often highāpressure and stressful environments.
- Working at height.
