As a Senior Accountant, you are a key point of contact within the Finance team, ensuring that financial statements are prepared reliably and on time. You will oversee day-to-day accounting, perform account reconciliations, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

Your Responsibilities
- Independent handling of day-to-day financial accounting (general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank)
- Ad hoc projects and reporting
- Preparation of and support with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) (IFRS knowledge is an advantage)
- Account reconciliations, clarification of outstanding items, as well as maintenance and analysis of general ledger accounts
- Fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliations
- Preparation of VAT returns and support with tax-related questions
- Support in payment transactions (payment runs, monitoring, posting)
- Support during audits and collaboration with tax advisors and external auditors
- Close coordination with specialist departments and contribution to the further development and optimisation of accounting processes
What You Bring
- Completed commercial training (e.g. industrial clerk) or training as a tax clerk
- Further qualification as a Certified Accountant (IHK)
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in the general ledger
- Confident handling of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB), as well as account reconciliations and accruals
- Very good Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g. Oracle, DATEV; Easyjob is an advantage)
- Knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP) is an advantage
- Independent, structured, and reliable way of working, combined with a strong quality awareness
- Strong team spirit, communication skills, and enjoyment of working with cross‑functional interfaces
- Very good German skills and good written and spoken English skills
