As a Senior Service Charge Accountant, you’ll be managing the finances of a portfolio of estates, making sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll work closely with our Estate Management team, external accountants, and occasionally, with clients and leaseholders. This is a great opportunity to dive into property management finance and grow your career in a fast-moving company.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Service Charge Budgets: Make sure annual budgets are accurate and loaded correctly.
- Billing: Handle billing for service charges, ground rent, and other fees to leaseholders.
- End of Year Accounts: Prepare year-end service charge accounts and work with external accountants for review.
- Utilities & Insurance: Handle recharges to leaseholders and keep on top of tax admin.
What You’ll Bring
- Accounting experience (service charge experience is a plus, but not required).
- Part-qualified AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA with a desire to continue growing.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills —you’re comfortable dealing with financial information.
- Great communication skills —both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (familiarity with Qube is a bonus).
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively across different departments.
