Are you a people-focused HR professional who enjoys getting into the detail while keeping the bigger picture in mind? At Encore Group, we’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our growing team and help support a positive, high-performing culture across the business. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad HR experience and well-rounded exposure across all areas of HR. This is a varied generalist role where you’ll work closely with managers and colleagues at all levels, get involved in a wide range of HR activity, and play a real part in how we support our people day to day.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting managers with practical, consistent advice on employee relations, wellbeing, policies, and best practice
- Keeping our HR systems accurate and up to date (we do rely heavily on Excel, so confidence here is important)
- Supporting the full employee journey, from onboarding through to exit processes
- Managing key HR admin such as contracts, pay changes, and job descriptions
- Getting involved in engagement initiatives, training, and wider people projects
- Producing reports and using data to help inform decisions
What we’re looking for
- Someone approachable, organised, and confident in their HR knowledge—someone who builds strong relationships and takes pride in doing things well.
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards it)
- Around 3+ years’ generalist HR experience
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using HR systems
- Great communication and relationship‑building skills
- A proactive mindset and the confidence to take initiative
- Strong experience managing a wide range of ER issues.
- A full UK driving licence (occasional travel between sites may be required)
Nice to have
- Experience with Cascade or Team Tailor
- A degree‑level qualification
- An eye for improving processes and finding better ways of working
