Your area of responsibility:
- Play an integral part in the planning and preparation of events, responsible for delivery and set up from small meetings to large scale productions.
- Main point of contact for clients to ensure customer expectations are fulfilled.
- Prepare, rig and de-rig equipment prior to events and be available on-site for technical issues.
- Pro-actively contact clients to develop sales potential and establish their requirements.
- Build and maintain a portfolio of standard set designs/visuals for client visualisation.
- Maximise sales potential by up-selling services to increase turnover.
- Participate in capture rate discussions and suggest ways to capture lost business.
- Monitor sales files to review upcoming groups and ensure sales processes are followed.
- Foster good relations with sales team members to maximise new leads.
- Develop a database of clients who have visited the hotel/venue.
- Proactively correspond with clients after their event to pursue future business and gain feedback.
- Ensure all areas of responsibility are within budget parameters and negotiate preferential rates.
- Utilise in-house services before out-sourcing.
- Be aware of turnover targets and strive to increase revenue.
- Develop sales and marketing literature specific to the hotel/venue.
- Report to the hotel/venue and attend weekly staff meetings.
- Cultivate good relations with hotel/venue staff.
- Create development plans with hotel teams to improve service levels.
- Address and provide solutions for concerns or complaints.
- Attend regular meetings with the London office to ensure effective and efficient duty execution.
- Create and standardise information systems for equipment movements and requirements.
- Develop dry hire shows and large scale events, ensuring proper project implementation.
- Build long-term customer loyalty by converting one-off events to established client accounts.
- Monitor competitor activity and approach clients for future activity.
- Delegate technical responsibility to on-site technician and manage shift basis effectively.
What you bring with you:
- High School Diploma, Mathematics and English GCSE or equivalent preferred.
- Strong AV/live events experience preferred.
- Previous experience within the Service and Hospitality industry preferable.
- Previous audio visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment beneficial.
