Join to apply for the Assistant Property Manager role at Encore. At Encore, we’re here to make residential property management feel personal, thoughtful, and seamless. Since 2004, our mission has been simple: to deliver an outstanding experience for every customer, with genuine care at the heart of everything we do. We don’t just look after buildings; we look after the people who call them home, treating each property as if it were our own. The Encore culture attracts top talent and industry recognition, including being named Employer of the Year on several occasions. We strive to be the most professional managing agent in the country, fostering communication, collaboration, teamwork, and fun while we work. An inviting environment enables our people to be inspired, learn, and flourish.

The Role

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be a key member of our Estate Management team, helping to ensure that our communities are well‑maintained and efficiently run. You will support day‑to‑day operations by engaging with residents, coordinating maintenance and repair efforts, and maintaining accurate records and systems. Your role will contribute directly to creating a positive experience for our clients. This role offers fantastic career growth, with the opportunity to step into a property manager position within 12 to 18 months.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Customer Service – Be the first point of contact for residents, handling queries, resolving issues, and keeping communication clear, friendly, and professional.
  • Data Management – Keep our property management system (Qube) fully up‑to‑date, ensuring all information is accurate and organised.
  • Maintenance Coordinator – Liaise with contractors, manage works orders, and ensure everything is done on time and to a high standard.
  • Health & Safety – Ensure all health & safety legislation and company policies are strictly followed, keeping our estates safe and compliant.
  • Financial – Help manage budgets, issue purchase orders, and assist with financial reporting to ensure costs stay under control.

About You

You’re passionate about delivering excellent customer service and enjoy building relationships with residents and clients. You’re a natural multitasker, able to manage your time and juggle tasks efficiently. You’ve got experience with systems like databases (Qube knowledge is a bonus) and are confident using Microsoft Office. You communicate clearly and professionally—whether over the phone, in writing, or face‑to‑face. You’ve got experience working with contractors and managing reactive maintenance (if not, you’re ready to learn fast).

What You’ll Bring

  • A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset – you approach challenges with optimism and a focus on finding effective resolutions.
  • Strong attention to detail – you consistently deliver high‑quality work.
  • A collaborative spirit – you thrive in a team environment and take pride in contributing to shared goals.

Qualifications & Experience

A good standard of education is essential. Property qualifications (e.g., IRPM Part 1) would be an advantage but not essential. Previous experience in customer service and contractor management is desirable.

Why Work With Us?

  • Great Team Environment – You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that works hard and has fun along the way.
  • Growth Opportunities – We believe in helping our people grow. With extensive training and development, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to advance your career.
  • Competitive Salary & Perks – We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and a positive workplace culture where your contributions are valued.

Salary: £30,000 per annum. Work model: Hybrid – requirement is 2 days in the office, 2 days from home, and 1 day on site.
