Job Purpose
The candidate for this role is a commercially minded analyst looking to join the Insight Team within the broader Strategy & Insights Department.
Our Insight Analysts are focused on delivering analysis of portfolio performance, customer behaviour and process effectiveness to understand the drivers of business performance and to support the Insight Manager in making recommendations to the Senior Management Team to develop the Customer Journey through data and analysis.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Project based delivery of statistical and empirical analytics.
- Data warehouse / cloud based data interrogation, extraction, collection, and manipulation using Python, SQL and Excel.
- Support the delivery of a Test and Learn environment for Collections Strategy providing effective measurement of trials using pre-agreed key performance indicators.
- Development of prototype reports to monitor portfolio performance, customer behaviour and process effectiveness.
- Employment of appropriate quality assurance techniques to ensure accuracy and validity of results.
- Provide peer review support to ensure the accuracy of analysis delivered by other members of the Insight group.
- Be a subject matter expert on data, operational analysis and customer behaviour. Identification and communication of improvements to data and business processes.
- Clear project planning and management to ensure work is prioritised and agreed deadlines met.
- Monitoring of impact of recommendations made to the business following their implementation.
- Work with other teams and departments to ensure results are accurate, understanding is correct, and resulting actions are implemented correctly across the business.

Person Specification:
Formal Education & Certification
- Numerical degree with a strong statistical content preferred. Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research an advantage.
- Technical Certification in interrogation software preferred (Python, SQL, SAS, VBA)
Knowledge & Experience
- Knowledge of statistical analysis
- Preferred knowledge of coding languages such as Python/SQL/SAS
