What you can expect as an Accounts Receivable Assistant:

  • Salary of £25,500
  • Hybrid Office role (1 day per week minimum from our Kings Hill office, ME19 4UA).

You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative finance team where your contribution plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Process and reconcile high-volume customer payments accurately within strict SLAs.
  • Ensure all transactions meet SOX, Audit and FCA compliance requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve payment queries, unidentified income and reconciliation issues.
  • Produce regular Excel-based reports and financial analysis.
  • Prepare income journals and manage associated reconciliations within Workday.
  • Process customer refunds and support supplier commission payments.
  • Maintain and improve finance processes, controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the wider Finance team to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.

We are looking for someone with:

  • An interest in finance, accounting or developing a long-term career within Financial Operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate queries and identify effective solutions.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including experience using formulas, VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • A keen eye for detail with a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • A proactive, flexible and positive approach, with a willingness to learn and support the wider team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
