Encon Staffing are currently recruiting for a commercial gas plumber across the central belt of Scotland on a temporary contract.
Overview: Our client is a small but growing plumbing business seeking a strong, technically competent plumber who can work independently or semi-autonomously. The role suits someone confident in both hands-on work and communicating clearly with colleagues and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out a mix of plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance work
- Diagnose issues and explain problems and solutions clearly to internal stakeholders and clients
- Work independently across varied sites and job types
- Operate safely in confined spaces and environments involving asbestos (training/certifications provided)
Requirements:
- Proven experience across standard plumbing applications
- Strong technical ability and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working autonomously and managing workload
- Willingness to travel occasionally and stay away when required (infrequent)
- CSCS Card
- Commercial Gas Qualifications
Location & Travel:
- Predominantly Central Belt of Scotland
- Occasional work further afield, with rare week-long stays
Contract & Pay:
- Preferably self-employed, though permanent candidates will be considered
- £25 per hour
