A gentleman with dementia in St Boswells, is looking for a personal assistant to spend time with him for a few hours throughout the week to give his wife a break from her caring role. The role would be perfect for someone who is patient, active, outgoing and friendly.
Terms:
- Hours per week: 4 Hours
- Hours of work: days and hours to be discussed with potential applicants
- £14.05 per hour.
- Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
- Probationary period of 6 months
- Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership
Job Description
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.
- To support with personal care routine as/when required.
- To support with general care needs including:
- Personal care assistance, medication prompts
- Meal and drink preparation.
- To develop a positive relationship with the client and work as part of a team.
