A young boy with a diagnosis of Autism who lives in a small village near Berwick-upon-Tweed with my family needing a personal assistants (PA) for a couple of hours a week. The role is to provide general support to enable him to enjoy his daily activities safely
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- To support a disabled young person to ensure their safety and well-being.
- To support with general care needs.
- To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client’s equipment and surroundings.
- To develop a positive relationship with the young person and his parents.
- To interact with the client and keep him entertained with activities he enjoys.
- To work alongside a parent or another member of the team when required but to work independently too

Experience is not essential for a candidate with the right personal attributes, but they should be able to show some suitability for the role.
Hours of Work
2 hours per week to be discussed with family
Terms
- Hours to be mutually agreed
- £14.05 per hour
- Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
- Post subject to successful reference checks and PVG
- Probationary period of 3 months
- Mobile phone usage should be kept to emergency calls only
