A gentleman client in Hawick looking for some support for a few hours a week to help promote their independence and support with shopping, meal planning and budgeting. Assistance with showering support also to ensure safety getting in and out and to provide confidence with this task. Help with getting out and about in the community is another task to help enhance and promote independence and confidence going forward too, and support to appointments in the town too.

Terms:

  • Hours per week: 4.50 Hours
  • Days and hours schedule to be discussed with potential applicants
  • £13.20 per hour.
  • Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
  • Probationary period of 6 months
  • Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership

Job Description

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • To support with personal care routine as/when required.
  • To support with general care needs including:
    • Medication prompts, shower support, Meal and drink preparation, support with traveling into town for shopping or attending appointments.
  • To develop a positive relationship with the client and promote independence and encouragement.
