A lovely woman who lives at home with her husband in Coldingham is looking for a PA who can initially support her with up to 3 visits per week with the possibility of more hours in the future. She requires minimal support due to a physical disability following a stroke which has left her unable to use her left arm/hand as fully as she would like. She is a very independent lady and does manage very well with most tasks including personal care and light household duties when she is well. However, when she is unwell, she requires an increase in support to manage these tasks. Ideally, she is looking for someone who could commit to 1 hour each morning Monday/Wednesday/Friday at the moment with the ability to increase the hours/days as needed when she is unwell at points in the future.
Terms:
- Hours per week: 3 hours per week with possible of more in the future.
- Hours of work: 1 hour in the morning between 9.30-11.30 ideally.
- £14.20 per hour.
- Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata.
- Probationary period of 6 months.

- Post subject to satisfactory references and PVG Scheme membership.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised support with daily living activities to promote the client’s independence, including assistance with putting on compression stockings/splint when well.
- When the client is ill there may be more support needed to wash/dry/dress.
- Support to carry out light/general household tasks to help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
- Ensure the client’s safety, comfort, and overall wellbeing at all times.
- Build and maintain a positive, respectful, and trusting relationship with the client and her family.
- Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and high standards of conduct in all aspects of the role.
