A cheerful and friendly gentleman in Bonchester Bridge is looking for a personal assistant to spend time with him for a few hours throughout the week to give his wife a break from her caring role. The role would be perfect for someone who is patient, active, outgoing and friendly.

Terms

  • Hours per week: 6 Hours (more may become available at a later date)
  • Days and hours work: Thursday & Friday 2pm - 5pm
  • Occasional weekends and relief cover.
  • £15.00 per hour.
  • Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
  • Probationary period of 6 months
  • Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership
  • Mobility vehicle in place to take Client out and about.

Job Description Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To support the client to ensure their safety and well-being and keep them company during the visit.
  • To support with personal care routine when showering/strip wash.
  • To support with general care needs including:
    • Personal care assistance, medication prompts
    • Snack/light meal and drink preparation.
  • To develop a positive relationship with the client and their family.
  • Take trips out with the client in their car which will be provided.

  • You will be flexible and able to alter our day according to how I am feeling.
  • You will respect my need for privacy and confidentiality and be respectful of my home and family.

  • Hold a driving licence and happy to drive when required.
